War Sun, a quartet from Barcelona formed by Fede Weiss (lead vocals, guitar and synths), Klaas Broekema (drums and sequences), Albert Gou (guitar and keyboard), combines pop, electronic music and that evocative post-punk sound that continues to be so very present today.
Their debut Hypnotized is a journey filled with atmospheres and bright melodies which reflect the band members' music background –from a purely electronic sound with synths, to other styles such as Krautrock—, thus creating energetic and hypnotic soundscapes, as the album's title indicates. Sharp and sensitive guitars also make War Sun a band that is difficult to label, but their tunes are catchy and fresh from the start- a good excuse to keep a close eye on them.
